Tina Turner will be playing shows at the O2 Arena on 3rd and 4th March 2009 and at the Manchester Evening news Arena on 30th and 31st March 2009.

Billy Idol July 2008 UK tour dates

Billy Idol is coming to the UK for two dates in July with his Idolize Yourself tour. The two shows in Manchester and London will be his first live UK dates since he was a surprise hit at Download 2005 followed by a sold-out Brixton Academy gig in 2006.

The 2008 Idolize Yourself Tour will include both old and new material, with classics like 'White Wedding', 'Rebel Yell' and 'Eyes' Without a Face', and tracks from Devil's Playground.

The festival links to the cult film ‘The Wicker Man’ (shot locally). The fetival highlight is the burning of a huge ‘wicker man’ effigy at midnight on the Saturday.

Duffy Rockferry album tops charts

DUFFY's debut album Rockferry has shot to the top of the UK album chart with 180,000 sales in its first week while her single Mercy stays top of the singles chart for a third week.

Duffy managed to outsell the rest of the Top 10 combined - (source Official Charts Company ) making it the fastest-selling album of 2008 to date and pushing Amy Winehouse’s re-issued album Back To Black into second spot.

Duffy, who hails from Wales, came second in the BBC’s Sound of 2008 talent search, and has been tipped as a rising star for 2008.

Duffy has a series of UK tour dates and festival appearances (including V), in 2008 and seems ready to achieve a real breakthrough this year.
